I could not believe that I just burned my hand with half pan of just-boiled water. I was going to make spaghetti aglio e olio, when the pasta cooking water spilled onto my left hand. It is kinda funny that I have been cooking for years but this is the first time I ever get burned-out by boiling water, and I just know how much it hurts, hahaa.. Hopefully it will not happen again. (^ ^)
Anyway, if you are just get doused by a very hot water, or having a minor burn, this first aid treatment might help you out. You can do it first in your home before go to the doctor (or if you don't wanna go)..
1. Immediately hold it under cold, running cold water for 10 to 25 minutes, or immerse the burn in cold water or cover it with cold compresses. Don't put ice directly against the burn!
2. Once the burn has cooled via cold water or compress, apply lotion to the burned area. Lotion may soothe any discomfort that you feel, and will also prevent dryness.
3. After moisturized the burn, cover it with sterile gauze bandage. Wrap the bound loosely, don't put too much pressure to the wound.
Oh, and my friend told me that if you have aloe vera plant, you can cut it and rub the gel inside it directly to your skin. I just know how aloe vera is really good for your skin. It could help the majority of skin complaints. By the way I just read that it is actually good for your health too. It said that aloe vera is useful for both external and internal use. Interested? Just found one of the coolest restaurant in town, yaaayy!! :D
It was past 9 p.m and we were just going to have a family gathering altogether with Sats family and mine. Yes, it was a big family gathering! And it was Thursday! There is only a few restaurant here in Bandung that still open on that time. Then Sats suggest for Origin.
And there we were. Having a great night in a cool place and nice dinner at Origin House and Kitchen.
Aaaa..sorry for the bad quality of my pictures. My camera has an issue with the night scene. :(
But that place is wonderful though. Nice interior decor, good selection of furniture, just a cozy place to hang out with family and friends. :)
Oh you must have known that our first try are going to be their coffee..!! :D I had a Cappuccino Brulee, and Sats chosen a Hot Cappuccino. I'm not sure what was it on the latte art, but sure we love it. Not every cafe or restaurant here in Bandung that serve a cappuccino or cafe latte with latte art on the top of it.
I only got a few picture of the foods, since it was a very late dinner and everybody were hungry and the battery of my cam was running out, and still they came out a little blur.. my bad.. hehee..
I do love the cream soup so much, sooo muuuccchhhh that I want it moooreeee..!! :P And this creamy fettuccine is just awesomely delicious.. :9
Really sorry (again) for the bad image quality.. I wish I had another camera..
My mom ordered Grilled Salmon that was also taste good.
aaannddd..the battery was out! ooppsss.. Sorry for a short snaps I hot here, hope I could get back there soon because there are a lot of spots that I haven't shot, and a lot of cake and other dessert that I haven't taste.
Oh, almost forgot to tell ya that in Origin you could find some organic food supplies and also some cool stuff from IKEA. Yes, here in Bandung! :D

Anyway, it's about a week before Halloween now. How do you decorate your house?? Here are some pictures I found on Flickr for your inspiration..
I have seen it before, but ever since I saw them on the Junior Masterchef Australia, I wonder how macaron taste is. It looks really cute and sweet and colorful. I haven't seen any shop that sell them here in Bandung, so when I heard that there is a dessert shop that sells macaron at PIM Jakarta, I asked my sister in law to taste it for me. But, instead of have some of them and tell me how it taste, she brought me a dozen of Bakerzin's macaron so I can taste it by myself last Thursday, (kyaaa!) thank you sooo much! \(^o^)/ *big hug
Finally got to taste some.. (yay!)
I love their packaging by the way. ;)
Well, since it was the first time I taste macaron, I was not quite sure about the taste yet. I probably have to try another macaron from different bakery as the comparison. For now I could say, it is sweet. Way too sweet for me. And my sister said that the dozen have different taste, but it was barely have different taste. It was almost the same. I might really have to taste another ones to compare. Perhaps it was indeed just how it taste.
Have a great day everyone! :D
Finally the last girls on my class year were having their graduation ceremony last Saturday. Guess what we brought for them..
Graduation cupcakes, yaayy!! Heheee.. \(^o^)/
Me, Audry, Vedca and Intan had graduated last year and the rest 4 girls just finished their final project couple months ago. There were only 9 girls on our class of 2005. Product Design is not really a favorite major here in Indonesia, that's why there's always just a few girls on every year classes.
Anyway, the LEGO minifigures series 5 have one Graduate figure and we thought it would be cute if we gave it to the graduated girls, hahaaa.. So we went to Times bookstore looking for 4 graduate figures. Sounds crazy huh? Not really.. actually they are really nice for giving numbers according to the figures. It make us easier to find the match one, especially when you only need couple figures left to complete your collection. ;)
From 4 pieces that we bought, one of them were wrong numbered and we got the Royal Guard. Thanks to Hasto, he bought 10 of the figures and agreed to exchange his number 3 pack with the one that we had, since it supposed to be the same figure. So we went back to the store to change it, and thanks again to the nice cashier girl that allowed us to choose for another number 1 figure, hihiii.. :D
We put it on the top of the chocolate cupcakes that I made and that's it..
Congratulation for the graduation, girls..!! :D
축하해~

Just finished them all.. 2 dozens of chocolate cupcakes.
Anyway, remember the vanilla extract that I bought last August? I forgot to tell you that I prefer liquid vanilla extract for the cupcakes. Liquid vanilla extract taste better than the powder one. I could smell the vanilla scent right after opened the bottle cup, and it didn't has those powdery taste that I got from the previous cupcakes I made. A little more expensive but way more tasty.. ;)
