Smells Like Coffee

Bukan.. bukan mau share resep, cuma mau cerita, hihiii..
Jadi ceritanya, setelah bingung mikirin jadwal harian buat aktivitas si bocah yang energinya super duper kaya kelincinya Energizer (oops..), akhirnya gue memutuskan buat bikin "one day baking time" alias sehari bikin kue bersama bubun!

Mengingat Q suka banget ngoprek di dapur dan mainin segala macem peralatan baking bubunnya, beberapa bulan yang lalu Q mulai sering gue ajak masak atau bikin kue. Versi beneran! Bukan lagi rekayasa ala pretend play ataupun virtual macam game interaktif masa kini, heheee.. So, kenapa gak sekalian dijadwalin aja? Seminggu sekali kita baking, buat persediaan cemilan Q (dan gue dan S) selama seminggu (or less).

Minggu ini kita bikin matcha (green tea) cookies. Sekalian uji coba resep buat next project nya Molla, heheee.. Q was so excited as usual, mulai dari ngaduk bahan sampe nyicipin adonan cookies yang belom masuk oven dan akhirnya sibuk makanin chocolate chips warna warni yang dia berantakin di atas karpet (biar makannya gampang, bun!). Hasilnya? Not bad laahh.. enyak! Cuma perlu modifikasi lebih lanjut biar makin maknyus rasanya.. Ho hooooo...

Hi! Just a quick post..
I just made this crochet reindeer hat for little Calista. She's so adorable! ♥

Got the pattern on Sarah's blog here and then modified it a little.
Have a nice weekend! :)

Finally here we are.. in a storehouse full of delightful things that me and S and Q (as expected!) like so much.. IKEA!! hahahaaa.. Yes I'm a bit too excited since this is my first time. Good things we went to IKEA with Q's cousins so the kids could help us watch over him and play with him as long as we went through every sections.

Anyway, I'm not going to review their Product since you could find it on their web online. Beside, there are too many products to share, I just love them all! Hahaaaa.. Just go to their website here to view every single product that they have.

We went to IKEA after picking up Kennar and Puan from school, so we decided to had lunch and tried their food. Their legendary Swedish Meatballs are really yummy! Didn't have the picture though because they gone too fast! hahaaa.. Those kids just loving 'em so much.

Fresh-from-the-pan Waffle with Chocolate Sauce

And this little muncher keeps on eating everything on every people's plate from meatballs to sausage and peas and corns, hahaa.. Happy tummy = happy kids!! ^o^

And of all those yummy foods and bevs, the most favorite goes to this super creamy soft vanilla ice cream..!!

This cafe is becoming our favorite since the last time we had a holiday in Semarang couple months ago. Kopi O is getting even better now with more foods and beverages on their menu, and a lot more customer too. Last day in Semarang and we head off to Kopi O before starting our trip back home. Had a breakfast of toast, coffee, green tea, and a plate of breakfast set.
Oops.. somebody couldn't bear to grab those kaya toast..

Aaaaannnddd.. you know, bad luck does happen.. Our car's battery is suddenly dead! So we have to stay a little longer, call for help, and wait for the mechanics to arrive and get everything done before leaving town. Not to mention that it was Sunday and everybody are in a day off. But luckily we stuck in a cafe! hahaaa.. So we ordered lunch and Q could get a little nap before leaving.

Fish and Chips, and Nasi Goreng Siram (if I'm not mistaken)..

Now there are some things I don't like. I know it's hard to keep up with more customers in store, but you know, you have to deal with it! More customers doesn't mean that you could lower your level of services. As I moved from the middle room to the back, I found this interesting facts that the back space is a very nice place but not very neat.

First, we sat there for about 20 minutes and those dirty dishes are still sitting there, next to our seat. Nobody take them out until I can't remember for how long. Doh?! Dirty dishes on a table are really not a view that I would like to watch for a long time before lunch.

And the second thing was, we found tissues and papers just everywhere. In the sofa, on the table, below the table.. That's too bad.. :(

Well, we all know that customers could be very ignorant about cleanliness. But we should pay on attention on it, especially when working in the culinary business. I really hope they will fix the problem because me and S, we really like that place.. :)

Sipping on a cup of coffee with family or friends on a cloudy afternoon beside a railroad with trains passing by every few minutes. Sounds fun? It was an interesting experience indeed! :)

This is actually a very late post..
A few weeks ago, my friend invited me to try his new cafe, TeraWalk Station. Located at the back side of the Panghegar Hotel Bandung, this place is quite unusual. It's not really spacious, but I kinda like the atmosphere there. With a classic-art deco style, it feels like we're going back to the earlier times.

TeraWalk serve a variety kind of food and beverages. From the local dishes like Sup Pindang Iga Sapi (Boiled Beef Ribs with Spices) and a nice cup of coffee from local coffee beans, to Rissoto and a variety of Mojitos. Their Sup Pindang Patin (Boiled Catfish with Spices) was our favorite so far, it's very rich in flavor. They also have a few type of coffee blends, hot or cold.

It's official! Bandung is now has a new park specialized for our lovely pets, Pet Park. It's not finished yet, but it's open for public just a few weeks ago. I bet all of the animal lovers out there are really excited about it as we do!

And here we are in a lovely afternoon, bringing D and N's lovely Baloo to Pet Park for the first time..
Oh I forgot to tell you, we don't have any pet yet in our family, hope someday we'll do! Because me and Sats are sooo in love with fluffy animals. Even our little guy loves to hang around with huge kind of dogs, especially goldens. ♥

Baloo was soooo happy playing with other dogs in the park. ♥

Cool sculpture idea.

Err.. I guest this should be a trash bin, but not yet functioned.

Having so much fun running and walking and jumping here and there!

Sometimes there is this kinda moment when you feel like there's no other way to go..

Well, I got that feeling yesterday. It's the final match of our national football league, and our hometown heroes Persib FC is on the game. The whole town were super excited, and the traffic was horrible. It was literally no other way to go!

After got back from Suniaraja to get some stuff, we planned to go back home. But the traffic was awful so S was thinking about going somewhere near to sit back and relax for a couple hours. We went to Paskal Hypersquare and accidentally bumped into this fine pastry shop called Sukha Delights.

It looks like a small shop from outside. Couples of high chairs and round tables outside (smoking area I guess), and some more tables and chairs inside of the shop. We went in and found a lot of cheesecakes, croissants, breads, macarons and other sweet delights in their showcase. Oh my it looks so damn fine, a mouth-watering showcase!
